UBC HUMANITIES CONFERENCE
We provided on-site technical consulting and trouble-shooting assistance for the successful execution of concurrent multimedia presentations during the 2008 UBC Humanities International Symposium.
WORLD BASEBALL CHALLENGE
In 2002 we teamed up to host a successful 12 team amateur international baseball tournament in Grand Forks BC. We designed logo, brand, web and print material. Coordinated the participation of the Cuban National team, generated $290 000 in corporate sponsorship. Ran advertising and stadium operations.
4REAL TELEVISION PROGRAM
We provided ongoing technical and artistic consultation to the production crew of a socially oriented television series that celebrated culture, art and social responsibility.
FEDERACION CUBANA DE BEISBOL
Provided consultation for the Cuban Baseball Federation, inclusive of player development, World Cup, PanAmerican and InterContinental tournament liaison and media consultant. Also hosted a five game exchange series between the National team and NYC Storm.
INTERNATIONAL BASEBALL FEDERATION
Provided technical consultation and support for the 2005 World Cup of Baseball held in the Netherlands. Inclusive of promotional consultations, technical and logistical support.
LONG ISLAND STORM BASEBALL CLUB
We coordinated a five game baseball exchange series in Cuba between the Long Island Storm Baseball Club and the Cuban National Baseball team. The series was a fantastic success and the competition was epic.
CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE
The Canadian Baseball League was an attempt to create a professional league in Canada. KM was recruited to serve as General Manager of the Niagara Stars franchise. Stadium operations, advertising, city negotiations, travel, production, media, payroll, concessions, and community events.
ASCENT MAGAZINE
Provided professional photography for several articles appearing in Ascent Magazine. Assignments included studio photography of meal preparations, in class yoga and various ceremonies pertaining to the Radha yoga studio in Vancouver BC.
TRANSCARD MONEY EXCHANGE
Provided consultation for marketing and distribution for the money remittance system that services Cuban nationals and family and friends abroad.
FRUCTOVA HERITAGE MUSEUM
Designed website and organized cultural material for the museum archives of the Fructova Doukhobor Heritage Museum. Included cataloguing archives and reproducing them for online delivery.
SURFQUEST JAPAN
Designed the logo for this surfing and kneeboarding company based out of Hammatsu Japan. SurfQuest often host environmentally concerned beach clean up campaigns and coordinate clean beach committees.
CITY OF GRAND FORKS
Designed website, managed content, online forms, produced graphic illustrations and photographs for the city of Grand Forks BC. Organised municipal and district resources and produced digital integration of city utility services.
SUBASTA HUMANITARIAN ART AUCTION
Helped coordinate and execute an art auction in Habana Cuba, keynote presenter was Ibrahim Ferrera from the Buena Vista Social Club. All proceeds ($1.2M) were donated to the Santa Clara Children's Hospital.
PIRATES OF THE KETTLE
Produced marketing material, logo design and promotion for this unique and adventurous river race. Participants had to navigate various river hazards, avoid nefarious locals and save distressed rafters to claim top honours.
